Comments:
One is
placing over two for her advantages in general appearance and dairy
character. She is more uphill and level over the topline, and has a
longer, leaner neck and longer, more refined bone pattern throughout.
She is also stronger on her pasterns and her rear legs are more nearly
perpendicular from hock to pastern when viewed from the side.
The second place doe is
commended for her strength of bone. |
Comments: One has the advantage over
two in
general appearance. She is more correct in front legs when viewed from
the front being fuller at the point of elbow as well as having fore legs
that are pointed more directly forward. When viewed from the rear she is
wider between the hocks allowing more room for the width of the rear
udder. 1 excels in body capacity with much more depth at the heart and
depth into the rear barrel. The dairy character advantage also goes to 1
who has a much greater strength of bone to go with her productivity and
is less frail in appearance than is 2. While the doe in first carries a
good capacity in her mammary system the tightness of the attachments
give an advantage in mammary to the second place doe and she will be
first udder. Her udder is carried tighter against the body wall and
higher in the rear with less of the weight of the udder being carried
forward. She is to be commended for her udder placement. |
