Comments:

One is placing over two for her advantage in mammary system. Although she does grant to the second doe’s capacity, the udder on the first place doe is more smoothly blended and securely attached than that on the second place doe. One also has an advantage in general appearance, being stronger in the chine and more level in the rump.

Two is placing over three for her advantage in general appearance. Her rear legs are more nearly perpendicular from hock to pastern, she is cleaner in the knees, and she is more upstanding from hips to withers.

Three is placing over four due to her advantage in mammary system, having more area of udder attachment and teats that are more correctly sized and directed.

Four is placing over five for her advantage in body capacity, particularly her depth through the flank and spring of rib.

The fifth place doe is commended for her femininity and length of bone.

Comments:

I am placing this strong class of five year and over Mini-Nubians 3, 1, 4, 2, 5.
One is a six year old 5th freshener with an advantage in mammary system. Her udder shows more symmetry in side profile as well as showing more length from front to rear giving her the advantage in overall area of attachment. She carries a wider fore udder as well. She will yield in mammary to a more clearly defined medial suspensory ligament to two but this is not enough to keep her from the 1st udder placement. 1 also excels in general appearance with a more uphill stature and overall greater length of frame through chine and loin. She is also fuller in the area of the crops and wider set in the foreleg at the point of elbow. 1 also takes the class in dairy character with a leaner neck as it blends into the brisket.
Two has the advantage over three in general appearance with a more correct topline with greater levelness in the area of the loin. When viewed from above she also shows more fullness in the crop region. In side profile she carries a straighter foreleg about the knee and a stronger set of fore pasterns. 2 excells in body capacity with the tremendous depth we see into the flank region. 2 will yield to 3 a more correct shape of rear udder.
It is for her mammary system that three excels four. The advantage is in the stronger medial suspensory ligament holding the udder closer to the body wall and higher above the hocks. In general appearance 3 has a longer more level rump from hips to pins and in front end assembly she has more smoothness of blending of the shoulder blades against the chest wall with less tendency of the shoulder blade to wing open in the area of the crops. 3 will yield to a greater depth of body and body capacity to 4.
In turn four carries a greater strenth of attachment to the udder especially at the top of the rear udder. While both of these mammary systems appear capacious we would like to see a greater strength of attachment holding the udder from harm. 4 excels five in body capacity as she increases in depth into the rear barrel. She is deeper in the fore rib and into the brisket when viewed from the front.

Five will be commended for her uphill stature and strength and levelness of back.
