One is
placing over two for her advantage in general
appearance. Though this is a close placing, the first place doe is more
prominent in the brisket, deeper through the flank, and more balanced
when comparing her width to her height and length.
Two is standing over three for her advantages
in general appearance. She is more level over the topline, particularly
in the rump, and more smoothly blended in the front end and at the point
of elbow.
Three is placing over
four for her advantages in general appearance,
though this is a close placing. Three is longer and more level over the
topline and is more smoothly blended throughout.

than the sixth place doe, with a more refined bone structure.

The eighth place doe is to be commended for
her strength of bone. |
Comments:
One
has the advantage over two in general appearance
being longer and taller. She also excels in front end assembly with more
width at the base of the front end assembly. She is more correct in fore
legs in that hers are pointed more squarely forward with less tendency
to turn outward. In Dairy character she shows a thinner thigh from the
side and the rear and has a higher arch to her escutcheon.
Two has excels over three
in turn for her general appearance. She has more correct angulation to
the rear leg from stifle to hock and her rear legs are more
perpendicular from hock to pastern. She also blends more smoothly from
neck into shoulder. In dairy character 2 shows us a longer leaner neck
than we see in 3. 2 will yield to 3 a greater depth at the flank.
Three is placed over four
today because of this greater body capacity with more depth at the point
of elbow and more width into the rear barrel. In general appearance she
is a bit more level in the topline especially in the area of the chine.
Four has the advantage over
five in general appearance. She blends more smoothly in the front
end assembly as we look down at the top of the shoulder blade. She also
stands with a shorter rear pastern than does 5.
Five excels six in dairy
character. She is much more angled in the thigh with a thinner thigh as
well. She is also more open in the escutcheon and freer from excess
flesh in the flank than is 6.
Six has the advantage over
seven in general appearance. In the front end whe has front legs
that are set more correctly under the high point of the withers. She is
straighter in the fore leg especially behind the knee and has a more
appropriate length of cannon bone for her age. She has more width
throughout than does 7.
Seven excels eight in
general apearance with a longer wider back. She in turn is showing more
angulation from stifle to hockk. In dairy character she is loner and
leaner in the neck than is 8.
Eight
is to be commended for her depth at the heart. |
