Comments:

Placing this class of 2 yr old milkers, 1 over 2 is a doe that excels in her General Appearance. She is more uphill from the withers to the hips, and stronger and straighter in the back, especially in the area of the chine. She also, has an advantage, in that front end assembly having a tighter junction of the shoulder blades with the withers. For her Body Capacity she in her turn has an advantage in depth of rib and increasing depth of barrel back towards the flank. She also has a strong advantage today, in Mammary with her rear udder showing greater capacity, and has a larger area of attachment to that rear udder.

2 over 3 in her turn, excels in Dairy Character showing greater angularity throughout. For her General Appearance she shows more feminity about the head than our third placed doe today. She will grant however, greater length of body
to the the third placed doe.

And it is for that length of body that 3 is over 4. She is also superior in the straightness of forelegs and standing on stronger pasterns, as well as, be neater or cleaner in the forelegs in the area of the knees. These together add to her overall General Appearance points. In mammary she has a slight advantage in a stronger medical suspensory ligament, as well as a more correct shape to the teat. She will grant a more levelness in the topline, especially in the area of the loin.

4 over 5 in her turn excels in Dairy Character and appears to be showing greater angularity throughout and well as have a more general openness and being freer from coarseness-carrying less fleshing today. In General Appearance, she is wider in the escutcheon, and shows more feminity about the head, with a more cleanly sculpted head. She will grant to the 5th place animal dept of barrel.

And it is for that depth of barrel that 5 is placing over 6 today. This doe excels in Body Capacity with increasing dept of barrel back toward the flank. She is also deeper and wider in the hearth girth, and showing more width in the chest floor
when viewed from the front. She will grant the refinement of bone about the legs to the doe standing behind her, and the 6th placed doe is to be commended for that refinement of bone and straightness of forelegs.

Comments:

1 over 2 for general appearance, she is more smoothly blended, more level over the topline. In mammary system, she is higher and wider then the doe standing in 2.

2 over 3 for her length of body, she is flatter boned and has an advantage in teat size as well as placement.

3 over 4 for greater depth of barrel, more angulation in the stifle and more extension of brisket than 4.

4 over 5 in Dairy character, she is flatter boned, cleaner and leaner in the thigh, she will however, grant body capacity to the doe in 5th.

5 over 6 for that Body capacity as well as smoothness of blending throughout. She is also more level, especially from hips to pins. She will grant dairy character to the doe in 6 and we commend the 6th place doe for that
