Have you ever wanted to show your goat, but there weren’t any shows close enough for you? Or maybe you are worried about the diseases your goat could be exposed to at a goat show. Well, now you can show your Miniature Dairy goats without leaving the comfort and safety of your farm!
Introducing… MDGA’s Mini Dairy Goat Virtual Show Program!!! Top ten reasons to enter your goat:
This is a new program designed to let mini dairy goat owners earn titles for their goats – even if they live in remote locations. This program will NOT replace the show program that we have in place, nor will the *V title replace or be equal with, the FCH title. The V-Show program will help breeders get another opinion on their goats and earn recognition for their herd, but should not carry the same weight as a live show due to the fact that the judge cannot get their hands on the animal or watch them move around the ring as they can in a live show. All minis may be shown whether they are registered with MDGA, TMGR or IDGR. However, if a non MDGA registered mini wins a V-CH leg in an experimental show, the leg will be presented to the RGCH - if it is MDGA registered. A Mini goat that belongs to a MDGA member is considered registered with MDGA and will have an official win as long as the registration paperwork as been mailed to MDGA prior to the show date (provided the registration information is correct and the mini is accepted for registration). *V requirements To earn the *V title, your goat must earn three V-Ch legs – i.e. take GCH or Best in Show in a minimum of three MDGA v-shows under at least 2 different judges. One leg may be a restricted leg i.e. a Jr. doe or dry doe. Check out the V-Show website to see more information on the show as well as view past results. |
